What an absolutely stunning experience at Tiger canyon from pre check in to leaving the farm. Roger canyon has the most amazing and knowledgeable staff on site always willing to help with something or answer any questions. The rangers Adi and Greg were amazing from the friendly banter between on anther to the knowledge they were able to pass onto us was great. 100% would recommend a visit to this awesome lodge which is doing so much good for conservation with tigers and cheetahs. All rooms have air coolers which run all day and an aircon for during the day. Food and drinksAhh the food was spectacular, the attention to detail with the food combined with the experience of flavour is world class.

Tiger Canyon - 2 night stay We were very satisfied with our experience at Tiger Canyon. A unique setup with comfortable accommodation & friendly staff. The lodge accommodates only 6 guests so individual attention is the order of the day. The game viewing was superb with very knowledgeable & enthusiastic guides who went all out to ensure a rounded experience with the specialised tiger & cheetah sightings which are the particular attraction of this property..

South Africa's best kept secret - a very special place My husband and I stayed at Kishindo Tiger Canyon for 3 nights and can honestly say it was the highlight of our South African holiday. The Lodge itself is small - only 3 rooms - but they are all large, with a huge bathroom and have amazing balconies overlooking the canyon. The hospitality is exemplary - being so small they can cater your meal timings, menu choices to your own choosing and the food itself is excellent. But what makes this place special, is the unparalleled access to magnificent big cats such as Tigers and Cheetahs - all of whom roam wild in this small reserve. The conservation aim of growing the wild Tiger population means that they have created 3 sections each with a dominant male Tiger, to avoid unnecessary killing. We always managed to find Tigers on each Game Drive we had into the reserve, and were also lucky enough to see their 1 white Tiger. This was down to our amazing guide Greg - whose relationship with some of the Cheetahs meant that we were able to get way closer than we would ever have dreamt possible. We have always wanted to see Tigers in the wild, and almost booked a trip to India to do so - but were concerned about reviews of chaotic game drives and poor chance of sightings. We stumbled on Kishindo Tiger Canyon by googling "best game reserves for Tigers" - and very happy we did. FYI Getting there - we flew to Bloemfontein and then got a taxi transfer to the reserve (a couple of hours drive)- but fellow guests hired cars and drove there without any problem.

Tiger Canyon is nothing short of impressive. We have stayed at more than 20 safari camps across eastern and Southern Africa and all were amazing and luxurious stays with incredible wildlife sightings (Singita, etc). Nothing compares to the experiences at Kishindo Tiger Canyon - up close encounters with cheetah where you can witness their calm nature in the wild and unencumbered viewings of multiple beautiful tigers that you would never get in India and in beautiful landscapes with exceptional sunrises and sunsets. All of this with a max of only ever one other vehicle (since the lodge only has 3 rooms). The staff was friendly, food was delicious, and our guide Greg was truly passionate about the wildlife. Having been with the cheetah since they were cubs, he takes a real interest in their wellbeing and is focused on conservation, preservation, and expanding the awareness about what Kishindo Tiger Canyon has to offer. Do yourself a favor and plan a visit. We have already planned our next trip to bring our kids in December.

Wildlife luxury destination ..place with a vision. First visit to Tiger Canyon.. and we cannot wait to return! The animals, the staff, and the location,.. just a treat for the senses. Great communication and guidance made getting there very easy. We were greeted by our gracious hosts and safari guides and were led to a beautiful lodge with breathtaking views. Guides were brilliant, the staff most accommodating, food was exquisite .. ever aspect was well thought out. The tigers / cheetah on the large reserve (~ 18,000 acres in 4 sections) are free to roam, hunt and live their lives. We felt extremely fortunate to be able to see these beautiful animals.. and in such luxury..almost felt guilty! Highly recommend Kishindo Tiger Canyon!
